Summer loves music and singing. She is a member of the All District Choir, her school’s competition choir and is first-chair flute in her school band. She participates in several groups at school including the Family, Career and Community Leaders Association, Junior Beta, student council, and math and science clubs. In her free time, Summer enjoys playing basketball, swimming, art and reading. Summer participated in the 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
