Chase loves reading and sports. His favorite sport is basketball, and he typically averages 12 points per game. Chase’s favorite basketball player is Tyrel Reed from the University of Kansas. His role model is another Jayhawk, Cole Aldrich, who has earned All-American honors both on the court and in the classroom. Chase also plays football and baseball, and participates in track.  He is on the Scholar Bowl team and is a student council representative. Chase plays trumpet in his school band and enjoys collecting baseball cards. He aspires to become a professional athlete or veterinarian.
