Auguste's interests range from music to language to hockey. He plays violin, piano, and drums and was named "Regional Concertmaster" in a regional music competition this year. Auguste speaks some Spanish and Tagalog and would jump at the chance to travel the world, learning new languages. His cousin, Raymond Soriano, participated in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 national finals, tying for 16th place in 2007.
