A seasoned musician, Keiko has played piano for five years and plays flute in her school's honors band. She is also an active member of her church and has participated in a university talent search. Her other hobbies include working as her school's yearbook editor and collecting dolphin and bee items. She is named after Keiko Abe, a famous Japanese marimba player. Keiko participated in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 national finals, tying for 17th place in 2008.
