One of Julianna's proud accomplishments is the capture and release of a blue marlin during her third year competing in the Ladies Fishing Tournament of Puerto Rico. She earned second place in her division. Her other hobbies include reading mysteries and dramas, bicycling, playing Wii, and listening to ’80s music. She always eats pepperoni pizza before a spelling bee. Julianna participated in the 2008 national finals.
