Carly credits her younger brother, Nathan, who has autism, for teaching her to be more understanding, patient, and accepting. She volunteers at a school for individuals with disabilities every other Saturday during the school year and on weekdays during its five-week summer camp. She hopes to become a speech pathologist and an author.
