Jake is a member of his school's basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, and swim teams. He is also a runner. Jake was named one of the top 25 students in his seventh grade class. He is an avid reader who especially enjoys novels in the Pendragon series. His other interests include listening to rock music and playing with his dog, Snickers. He plans to become a lawyer. His sister, Hannah, participated in the 2007 national finals; Jake participated in the 2008 national finals.
