Larissa participates in a variety of academic competitions. This year and last year she participated in the Michigan Geographic Bee. She has also excelled in local and state science fairs. Larissa plays volleyball on her school's team as well as for a volleyball club and also likes to ski. She belongs to Plast, a Ukrainian scouting organization, and attends Plast camp each summer. She enjoys participating in community service activities, performing in community and school plays and concerts, and reading. Larissa hopes to become a surgeon.
